Tuesday morning,

Dear Grace
Have been trying to make this pen write for a hour. My hands are all covered with ink and the time I expected to get a letter written to you is passed. Will finish the letter tonight, the pen seems to be working better after all my patience in fixing it. It rained all night but seems to be clearing up now. Am going to paint the church if the light is good.
