All these places are just a little station and sometimes one house or a few adobe one-story houses where Mexicans or Indians live.
At Lamy I changed cars for Sante Fe the capitol city of New Mexico which is not on the main line of the Sante Fe railroad
A small train was waiting with mexicans in it & this took me to Sante Fe up & up among thousands of little cedar bushes on the bare dry ground and a few [[strikethrough]] cactus [[/strikethrough]] spiny cactus.
I stayed overnight at the Sante Fe Hotel de Vargas They could speak English there, though most of them were Mexican & spoke Spanish.
