Major General T. C. Ben Chow
Headquarters Air Technical Service Command
Chinese Air Force
Tainan, Taiwan, China

Dear Bennie:

Thank you very much for your kind letter and gift. The painting of the Ming Dynasty was a most welcome present, and my wife will put it to good use when she decorates our home at my new assignment.

Although eager to return home after an extended overseas tour, I regret that in so doing, I must leave the many fine friends that my wife and I have made here on Taiwan. This assignment has been most rewarding and pleasant both from a professional and social standpoint.

I hope that I shall have an opportunity to see you again at a future time, and for that reason shall only say "tsai chien" for the present and leave you with my best wishes for the continued growth, development, and success of the Chinese Air Force.

Sincerely,

B. O. DAVIS, JR.
