Wrote thanks all the morning until 3 oclock. Then to the Congressional Library. Interesting revolutionary documents in cases. Albert Dürer prints 16th Cen. & Rembrant etching. Telegram from Oliver in the morning saying he was all right.]]

1 ^[[898 Oliver did not come. Wrote "thanks" all the morning & until 4 P.M. when I went to Corcoran Gallery Barye bronzes. Growing extremely anxious about Oliver. Saw McKinley going into the White house. Glorious day. Telegram given me at 7 that had been there all day saying Oliver delayed by trains. He came immediately after. He had travelled ever since 7 the night before with no sleep]]
