YOUNG LIFE CLUB

On March 6th, 1954, the first meeting of Young Life was held in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Cook. A large number of highschoolers attended, but this was only the beginning. During the next two years, Young Life's schedule was crowded with activities: meetings, parties, banquets, outdoor excursions, and two summer camps - the first one at Tamsui and the second at Sun-Moon Lake. In these two years, Young Life has grown considerably, both in number and experience. This fact is largely due to our unfailing sponsors Hans and Alice Wilhelm.

The aim of Young Life is not only to help provide for the social life of the American School teen-agers, but also for their spiritual welfare. This has been the emphasis of Young Life throughout the past two years and will continue to be its motivating force. Young Life is deeply grateful to all those who have cooperated or contributed in any way to our club, with special thanks to parents who have loaned their houses for parties.

Officers of Young Life are:
John Hillis - President
Peter Landerman - Vice-President
Peter Shek - Secretary-Treasurer
Elizabeth Swisher - Social Chairman
