5. At Loh-Yu Infant School, clothing (privately donated) delivered; made contact with Christian Children's Fund for possible support from that organization; clothing and milk donated by ICA Welfare Group - coordination by TIWC.

6. NT$623 allocated for roof repair at Hsin Ai Nursery.

7. NT$5,348 allocated for play equipment and garden improvements at Teachers' Children of First Girls' Middle School Nursery.

8. NT$30,000 allocated for water system at Ta-Tung Children's Home. Through TIWC efforts, other commitments toward the estimated total cost of the project (NT$87,000) are: NT$10,000 from the ICA Welfare Group, NT$12,000 from the MAAG Chapel and NT$35,000, tentatively, from other sources. 1. Regular supervision of All-Taiwan Nursing Scholarships program for 9 student nurses this year (starting principal NT$230,000). Regular supervision of perpetual nursing scholarships program for 2 student nurses (principal NT$30,610, which includes increase of NT$6,110 made this year). Distributed clothing and Christmas gifts to student nurses.

2. Regular supervision of Occupational Therapy program at National Taiwan University Hospital (continuation of a project begun in March 1956, will allocation of NT$25,000, which has now been totally expended). NT$2,000 allocated this year for purchase of two sewing machines. Club member works regularly with patients; another teaches ceramics. Scrapbooks, magazines, records and Christmas decorations delivered. Christmas party given. Occupational Therapy handicraft displayed at May general meeting. Patients now working on TIWC toy making project. Recommendation to be made to June meeting that NT$4,000 of allocated for Occupational Therapy supplies July 1958 - July 1959.

3. Development of anti-poliomyelitis program to include purchases of two adult-size and two infant-size iron lungs at a total cost of up to NT$195,500. One infant respirator, at US$800, ordered to date. Braces, casts and special shoes for post-polio children purchased with NT$3,880.

4. At National Taiwan University Hospital, regular visits were made, and magazines, drugs and clothing delivered to Social Service Department for distribution. Bandage rolling service continued throughout year, and children's ward visited with gifts at Christmas. NT$500 purchased $500 purchased TIWC group membership in Women's Hospital Auxiliary. With TIWC encouragement, social service in-training course conducted by Hospital.

5. At Provincial Hospital, supervision of regular monthly allotment made to Social Service Department (principal NT$24,000, which includes NT$12,000 increase made this year). Regular visits made, and magazines, scrapbooks, drugs and clothing delivered to Social Service Department for distribution. Bandage rolling group started and continued throughout the year. Children's ward visited with gifts at Christmastime. GirlsScouts gave Easter gifts - coordinated through TIWC.

7. Layettes presented to Combined Service First General Hospital. TIWC furnished NT$2,080.64 for material, and ICA Welfare Group did sewing.

8. NT$500 allocated for Hsia Teh-chen memorial nursing scholarship. In addition, Club members contributed NT$760.

9. Investigation begun on free clinic to be operated by Chinese Medical Women's Association. Recommendation by the Executive Committee that consideration be given by Social Service Committee to clinic program to be submitted by October 1, 1958.
