Meeker completed the Williams College Navy V-5 Program in 1946 and graduated from Princeton University in 1948 with a BA in Geology and a Bachelor of Naval Science. His professional career with Amoco has taken him throughout the world and he is currently involved with personal investments and independent oil exploration and production programs. He is on the board of the Lincoln Park Zoological Society, the African Wildlife Foundation and the Seabury Western Theological Seminary.
