[[bullet]] The Smithsonian Early Childhood Enrichment Center: A Smithsonian infant and toddler day care center founded on the premise that providing a museum experience for pre-school children will better prepare them for elementary school.
[[bullet]] National Museum of American History: A collaboration with NMAH, a school system in western New York, and the American Chemical Society, in affiliation with OxyChem, to produce science projects in conjunction with the exhibition, "Science in American Life."
[[bullet]] Quality Education for Minorities Network: A pan-institutional collaboration with the Network (internships, colloquia and symposia), focused on effecting policy changes in math, science, and engineering training for minority school populations.

The meeting of the Board of Regents was adjourned at approximately 11:30 a.m.

[[underline]]REGENTS' DINNER[/underline]]
The traditional Regents' dinner was held on the previous evening, Sunday, September 15, 1991, in the Supreme Court. The cocktail reception was held in the West Conference Room and the dinner followed in the East Conference Room. After dinner, the Chancellor formally welcomed the Regents and their guests and gave them an engaging history of the Supreme Court as seen in the personages of the nation's earliest Chief Justices, whole portraits were on the walls.
