Wiseman 1817 Oxford Berkeley 9, Cal. Dear Mr. Wiseman: As you may have heard on the pipeline, we are bringing out a historic Fiftieth Anniversary of Powered Flight issue of Aero Digest in July of 1953. As with everything aeronautical, we are trying to give ourselves plenty of lead-time. One of the things we are reaching for is this: Your favorite aviation anecdote or memory. We are making similar requests of the remaining handful of all-time aviation Greats, with the thought that it will make a permanent contribution to the nation's aeronautical archives. If you have difficulty in choosing from your rich lore of experience, please don't hesitate to send us more than one anecdote. We are planning to make this one of the leading editorial features of the issue, and would appreciate an early word from you in order that we can give it the artistic treatment it deserves. Very truly yours, [[signed]] Fred Hamlin [[/signed]] Fred Hamlin Publisher FH:me
