This picture shows Fred J. Wiseman, the aviator, in his flight over the Olympia flats. Wiseman will fly at the ball park in Tacoma Friday and Saturday afternoons.

In explaining why aviators do not save more money, Wiseman said: "It is not surprising that Ralph Johnson left so small an estate. An aviator spends as much money as he makes in experimenting on new machines and new parts designed to get the most rising and propelling power with the least possible power. The machine I am using represents an investment of $7,500 and I have two others. Mine is not a Curtiss machine. It is a Curtiss-Farman-Wright."
