[[underlined]] May 1 [[/underlined]] Caught only a Possum a large male. Not injured by trap but left till 10 AM in hot sun and died soon after released. Large old ♂ [[male symbol]]

Very dry, many fires burning in forest
May have to backfire to save our cabin. Hoping for rain.

Dug water holes in swamp.
