[[underlined]] Peccary [[/underlined]], Lloyd Ligon Ranch
36 mi. S.E. of Stockton

Several bunches of 5 to 12 reported in canyons over near the Ligon Sheep ranch in the country. Plenty of old signs seen but very little new. One lechequilla freshly eaten had been cut off close to the ground and the heart eaten out. Mesquite beans, catsclaw beans, black persimmons, cactus fruit and live oak acorns are eaten. Also some green food.

Loyd Ligon and his brother Ed and some of the neighbors would like to have a refuge made of their ranches to save the last Havalines in Texas.
