[[underlined]] Procyon [[/underlined]]
Loyd Ligons Ranch, Texas.

Raccons are common in the head [[draws??]] of Little Canyon, 20 or 30 miles west of the Pecos. They must come up these canyons during rainy times and find abundant safe homes and good food, but now the canyons are all dry and they go to windmill tanks for water and frogs. Most of their food now is mesquite beans which are abundant but generally there are abundant black persimmons and other fruit and berries and nuts.
