The swamps or timber belts and strips are equally or more extensive than the marshes but made up of tall timber, bald cypress, narrow leaved cypress, cabbage palms, palmettos, saw palmettos, mangroves, popash, silver maple, Custard apple, rubber trees, Strangle vine, 3 species of Smilax - cat briar - and a lot of trees and bushes and vines that I don't know and never saw before. There are huge ferns, 3 species of Tillandsia, many epophitic orchids, strange lilies and water plants.

Transcription Notes:
Changed Similax to Smilax, a plant genus. At first glance it appears to be written as Similax but it is not. Just some capitalization... Should be all set for completion.
