[[underlined]] Sept. 30 [[/underlined]] 1939.

Packed up and drove with Fanny and Helen Schlappie to Mansfield, Pa.

Rained all day but couldn't hide the glorious autumn colors of the maples, pin cherries, sumacks and other vegetation.

The colors are more general as we go southward and most so as we get into Pennsylvania.

Arrived in Mansfield at 7:30 PM.
