WHITLEY COUNTY MEN IN SERVICE

COLUMBIA CITY, Mar. 23.- 
Forty-five men of a contingent of 92 forwarded from here for preinduction examinations have been accepted for service in the armed forces, the local selective service board announced today. Twenty-two of the group were accepted by the navy, 15 by the army and eight for limited duty.

Accepted by the navy were Alfred N. Clark, Robert Lee Schinbeckler, Richard Monroe Day, William Earl Jones, Lee Plattner, Jr., George William Roberts, John Nicholas Wigent, Robert Lawrence Erne, Donald Thomas Whalen, Elwood J. Bauder, Carl Conrad Harris, Marshall E. Fisher, Robert Briggs Estlick, Donald Edward Lebrun, William Miles Sheets, Angus Fred Holbrook, Paul A. Metzger, John M. Moog, Herman Edward Pence, Maurice Dale Hurshey, Eldon Richard Bechtold and Benjamin Paul Pequignot.

Slated for army duty were William Price Creech, Galen H. Wilkinson, Joseph William Hendrickson, Carr Eugene Gregg, Frank Leonard Karst, Carl Marion Brown, Clarence Ainslee Platner, Harry Luther Boyd, James Franklin Parrett, Clay Robert Gale, Rome Dustin Repp, Ralph Snepp, Robert Leroy Faulkner, William Rodell Flockencier and Gordon David Erickson.

Accepted for limited service were Paul Phil Pinckley, Marshall Cole Schinbeckler, Joseph Ray Roe, Herbert Volz, Wendell Eugene King, Donald Ray Coolman, Kenneth Earl Heflin and William C. Thomson.
