for the second time, the plane was ready for a Thursday morning start. We made an early get away and had an uneventful day. In landing near Warren Ohio, a broken skid caused a slight delay, but we reached Kent Ohio about five PM. This was one of the best days of the flight thus far. The strips of white cloth between the rails were keeping him to the Erie with no trouble. High head winds held us at Kent for twenty four hours, but on Saturday a shift gave Cal strong tail winds all day long. He flew far ahead of the train, but a leaky gas tank forced him down at Rivarre Ind. The train did not arrive for over an hour, so when repairs were made it was too later for further flight that day.
