to Huntington, [[strikethrough]]Times Democrat had arranged a banquet for Cal.[[/strikethrough]] where we had a delightful evening. Enumerous speeches were made, none of which Cal could hear, but everyone had a fine time. It was the only "social event" of the trip so far, except the \Poker parties arranged each night by Hanley of the "New York American" and how he did clean up the Armour boys.

In spite of late hours Saturday night, we left Huntington early Sunday morning and went back to Rivarre, where Cal took the air about eight oclock. A short time later as Cal [[strikethrough]]]and the train[[/strikethrough]] left Decatur, Ind., a severe thunderstorm from the north west caused him to fly south from the Erie. We watched him disappear in the darkness, so the train was stopped and we began a long distance phone search for him. He was finally located st Geneva, Ind. Eighteen miles south of Decatur. When we found he and the plane were OK we advised him to follow the line of the ER & I RR direct to Huntington where we would meet him.
