WILL STOP AT PITTSBURGH Plans Are Made for Nine-Plane Escort from Harrisburg to New York Airport. At 9 o'clock this morning the body of Frances Harrell, famous aviatrix, who was killed Sunday when her plane crashed on the last lap of the 50-mile race in the women's national air meet, will be taken from Dayton municipal airport, Vandalia, by plane to New York for funeral rites. Her body will be taken in a plane piloted by Edward Maloney, an associate flyer with Miss Marrell, of the Waco Sales, Inc., Garden City, L. I. The plane, similar to the one in which the noted flyer was killer, will stop at Pittsburgh and then proceed to Harrisburg, where a squadron of nine planes, three army, three navy and three civilian, will act as an escort of honor the remainder of the flight to Roosevelt field, Long Island. Rites in Afternoon. At 5 o'clock this afternoon funeral services will be held at Roosevelt field in the presence of a large group of aviators, both men and women. The Ninety-Nine club, national organization of women flyers, will be represented by Amelia Earhart, Ruth Nichols, Mrs. Margaret Cooper, president of the organization; Mrs. Clara Studer, of New York; Mrs. Blanche Noyes, of Cleveland; Mrs. Peggy Remey Ludwigson, Augusta Roberts, Helen Boyd, Margaret Gilmain, Marjorie and Fluer De Lys Scheer, all of New York; Mrs. E. A. Tanner, of Hartsdale, N. Y., and Dorothea Leh, of Allentown, Pa. Earhart Pays Tribute. Miss Earhart said today that "Miss Harrell was one of the friendliest and most likable women I have ever known and also one of the best pilots." Howard Ailor, president of the Waco company at Garden City, and Lydia Manage, flying [[?]] from Long Island, who accompanied Miss Harrell for the [[?y]] meet here, will fly beside [[y's]] ship back to New York.
