[[preprinted]] FOSTER, MILLING, BRIAN & SAAL [[/preprinted]]

T.D.M.----------(4).

in 1859, and, as you know, had six children: Maria, wife of S.M. Brian, whom you have heard of ^[[mother of [[Leck?]]]]; Thomas Milling, who is your cousin Thomas's father; Edna, wife for J.H. Williams; David Hugh, who died at 18 months old, and myself.

The descendants of John Milling and our immediate family are the only Millings now living who are direct descendants of Hugh Milling. I think all the other Millings are descendants of David Milling. John Milling left quite a family. He was married twice andhis [[and his]] widow is still living. He had some seven children by his first wife and five or six by the second. I saw his widow, last fall when I carried ^[[Odell]] over to Atlanta, and his two [[strikethrough]] oldest [[/strikethrough]] ^[[youngest]] children. One of them married a Mr. ^[[Curtis]], a very nice gentleman, with whom I spent the night. The youngest child, however, is a son, Byron L. Milling. He is about 26 or 27 years of age, graduated last year as a lawyer and is located in Atlanta, Ga. He is quite an interesting boy. I really expect him to do something. The rest of the John Milling family are scattered. Some of them are in Florida, some in Georgia and one boy is in Texas.
