Experiments in Dropping Bombs Please Army Men

So successful have been the experiments in dropping bombs at College Park, the army officers see an even brighter future for the aeroplane in case of war than ever before. Three experiments in dropping bombs have been attempted at College Park, and, although on each occasion the target was missed, the aim was good enough to have done great damage had the bombs been real explosives.

It is figured out that with practice great accuracy may be had, and once the army men get to the point where they can hit the object aimed at, the aeroplane will become a powerful factor in war.

Last evening another experiment was conducted at College Park. Lieutenant [[ink underlined]] Milling [[/ink underlined]] as pilot, carried up Sergeant Izdorek, who dropped two bombs at an altitude of 600 feet. The target, which was a small sheet of white cloth, was missed but forty feet. It is figured that even at this distance a real explosive would do great harm.

The army men are greatly encouraged over the success of the experiments.
