one motor and each motor drives two orientable propellers.  The transmission system is excellent.  They construct their own motors, but as a rule manufacture only a sufficient number to equip their own craft.  Motors are all of the four and six cylinder upright, water cooled type, and range in power from 150 to 300 H.P.

13.  It is impossible to tell what particular type of dirigible is favored by the various countries.  Germany has devoted all of her energy to the rigid type, well illustrated by the Zeppelin.  France uses some of all types built in her country, these being in the majority, the non-rigid and semi-rigid.  The Zodiac Company has recently constructed a rigid type which was sold to the French Army.  Since its acquisition, the rigid type has gained much in favor.  France has also purchased Italian dirigibles.  England has purchased both the French and Italian types.  It would seem that some of all types are purchased for the purpose of obtaining a comparison in order to keep up with the progress made.

14.  The L'Oxylithe Compamy of Pries manufacture hydrogen generating sets, both portable and stationery, for use with the dirigibles in the field and in garrison.  These have been furnished, not only to the French Govt., but also to those of England and Russia.  These are of four types as follows:-
"A".  Two stationery types for silicon.-
a.- Semi-portable, making 600 to 800 cu.m. per hour equipped with a water economiser.
b.- Stationery, making 1500 cu.m. per hour, not equipped with a water economiser.
"B". Two portable types, mounted upon carriages.
