The military center of Reims is two miles distant from that city. This is used both as a squadron station and for the instruction of pilots training to become military aviators. Equipment consists of eight large hangars, concrete and corrugated iron, capable of holding 25 machines with wings removed, two wooden hangars; a large work-shop; several smaller buildings; a small wireless station and necessary meteorological instruments. There are approximately 65 pilots, including both military aviators and pupils an nearly 100 machines, the majority of which are Deperdussin, Farman, and Bleriot, the remainder being Caudron, R.E.P., Voisin and Nieuport.
