the following particulars are to be assumed:

(a) Weight, dry --------------- 912 lbs.
(b) Normal HP at 2000 RPM ----- 470
(c) Maximum HP at 2100 RPM ---- 487

 The propellers are to be designed so that the maximum revolutions stated at (c) cannot be exceeded under normal circumstances.

 The propellers should also be so designed that the engine revolutions at full throttle, when the aircraft is stationary on the ground, are approximately 1600 RPM.

The engine installtion is to be in accordance with the requirements of the Director of Research.

The exhaust manifolds are to be fitted with an efficient silencer.

A plate is to be fitted, in clear view of the pilot stating the normal and maximum permissible revolutions of the engine, with a warning to the effect that the engine is not to be run at the maximum revolutions as stated at (c), for a period exceeding 5 minutes. The throttle control is to be of "gate" pattern, of which particulars will be supplied. An instruction plate is to be provided worded as follows:
