which dives only about twenty feet when launched from an altitude of about twelve to fifteen feet from the water, and which has reinforcements about one-third of the way back from the nose and has the tail group reinforced. They believe that, for aeronautical use, they can increase the amount of explosive which it can carry as distinguished from the amount which the ordinary naval torpedo carries because it does not require the extreme range which the naval torpedo is supposed to have; -- in other words, that they can increase the percentage of explosive from about twenty per cent in the naval torpedo to thirty or forty per cent in the air torpedo. There was nothing novel in their equipment. They had many German instruments there which, in general, they liked. They are working hard, and are a very energetic and able lot of men.
