he has made some pursuit ships, his genius really is in larger airplanes which may be used either commercially or for bombardment purposes.
  Another example of the Zeppelin Company's works is the Zeppelin Staaken, a very large single, wing airplane with four engines, which was flown quite successfully in 1920. As soon as it flew successfully, however, the Inter-Allied Commission required that they take out their engines and stop all work. Airplanes of the type of the Zeppelin Staaken, or a similar development, could certainly cross the Atlantic Ocean without any trouble. 
  The other great spirit in German aeronautical construction is Dr. Hugo Junkers, who resides and has his factories at Dessau, about 125 kilometers south of Berlin. I went through his organization very carefully -- in fact, he told me that it had never before been gone over so carefully by any one. Dr. Junkers has a very large establishment. He manufacturers all sorts of things from metal - stoves, heating apparatus, boats, bath-tubs oil engines, gasoline engines, tools and implements of various kinds, plumbing fixtures, and in fact anything that [[unreadable]] find a market for.
