My whole impression of Fokker's works was one of efficiency, practicability of equipment built, and great simplicity of all construction. Fokker's methods are certainly the most practical of any in the world, today.
In Holland we learned that there were fifty-- two 20 mm. machine guns, originally manufactured by the Erhart Company, which could be obtained for air work. We looked over a new bomb sight which involved several novel features but which we did not consider very practical nor as good as ours. We also inspected the Gast machine gun with which we were not particularly impressed. All of these have been reported on by the Military Attaché. Holland forms an excellent place from which to get information about German ordnance and many other things.
On the conclusion of our inspection, we took a ship and proceeded from Flushing to Folkestone in England.
