THE VOICE OF THE DEFENSE, Congressman Frank R. Reid of Aurora, Ill., counsel for Mitchell at the court martial. Seated beside Mr. Reid is the colonel, and, at the right, Mrs. William Mitchell. The Mitchell imbroglio is developing almost into the dimensions of a Dreyfus case. There is this difference, that Major Alfred Dreyfus was accused of selling military secrets to possible enemies of France, whereas Colonel Mitchell is charged with inciting insubordination in the ranks by his harsh criticism of the conduct of our country's aviation forces.
