AIR TRIAL MAY "ROCK" BIG BOYS
Omaha Bee 11-6-26

Sioux City, Ia., Nov. 6—(Universal.)—"If the court-martial does anything more than censure Col. William Mitchell, there will be an explosion in this country that will rock some of those old, fat army officers, drawing fat salaries, off their seats," declared Lieut. Jack Harding, round-the-world flyer, in an exclusive interview here Thursday night.

Lieutenant Harding delivered an address before a club Thursday night.

"The crux of the whole affair is that a lot of army officers are drawing as high as $10,000 a year acting as officers in the air force and telling the fliers how to fly when they know absolutely nothing about it," he said.

MITCHELL PERSECUTED, SAYS LETTER WRITER.

Editor of THE PRESS:

This country United States of America is represented all over the Universe as being a free country. Free for democracy, which is true. But Col. Mitchell is being tried or has been tried for telling the whole truth. And for not being a slave and doing everything that pleased his master whether it be right or wrong.

If Mitchell is being court-martialed for telling the truth, what should be done for a certain official for butchering the truth for his own selfish benefit? Mrs. Lansdowne stated that her husband did not want to make the Shenandoah trip at that time. This certain official stated that that was not true and tried to cover up. Later Mrs. Lansdowne under oath testified and offered proofs to the effect that this official had misrepresented this to the public.

Is this man going to go unpunished while Billy Mitchell is being persecuted?
