The poignant story of the pianist Philippa Duke Schuyler, a genius who made good as a woman and became a normal part of her world, has much to tell us about the care and feeing of the exceptional child and, by implication, all children. Philippa Schuyler's story had an inexpressibly sad ending last May in Vietnam when the U.S. Army helicopter in which she was flying crashed in Da Nang Bay. She was thirty-four.
