The Seven-Up Company, st. Louis, Missouri has for several years participated in many regional and national conventions. In addition, the company has worked through college campuses with youth by giving scholarships and sponsoring various functions during some of their major programs, such as workshops, sports events, etc.
As a result of the success of these programs- The Seven-Up Company looks forward to much growth and expansion through the continued efforts of Special Markets Consultant, Mrs. Inez Kaiser, of Kansas City Missouri.
Examples on how the community relations program fostered by the Seven-Up Company works can be seen in (1) the presentation of Rusworm Awards to member of the National Negro Press in pic is Mr. Frank Stanley, Jr., who was co-chairman of a recent Press convention, in New York. (2) Seven-Up sponsored a reception for members of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority who visited Hawaii, at the close of their last national meetings in Los Angeles; in pic is Mr. William in Honolulu, who greeted the Richardson family of Philadelphia to the Islands. (3) Presentation of a service Award to Dr. Deborah Patridge, former National Basileus of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Waldorf Astoria, New York. (4) Robert Zegtmann, local Seven-Up developer welcomed Senator Ed Brookes of Massachusetts to New Orleans. Senator Brooke is shown with Mr. H. H. Southall, President of the National Insurance Association; Mr. H. J. Christopher, President of Peoples Insurance Company of New Orleans and Miss Kaiser; Senator Brooke was the speaker of the National Insurance Association Convention, in New Orleans. (5) Mr. Gene Cagney of Houston Seven-Up presented a scholarship prize to Miss Josephine Taylor, the 1967 Miss Texas Teen. (6) Mrs. Kaiser presented a Seven-Up Citation Plaque to Dr. Geraldine P. Woods, National President of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority for excellent leadership and service at organizations convention in Cincinnati, last year.
