The children stayed in Mexico. Harold then married a Mexican girl whose father had a printing establishment. Harold never left the race entirely because when his son or daughter by this Mexican wife married, quite a few of his friend [[strikethrough]] here [[/strikethrough]]  from Washington went down to the marriage ceremony. Those who went [[strikethrough]] were very [[/strikethrough]] ^[[showed]] color[[strikethrough]]ed[[/strikethrough]]. One was Adela Parks, the other was Georgia Jones, whose father was a lawyer. She was really colored in complexion and all. But Harold invited them all to come to his daughter's wedding. There's not very much difference in the races there.
