PHILIP MORRIS STORY

Down through the years both Philip Morris Cigarette Company and the Miller Life Brewing firm have been consistently applauded by individual community groups and nationally membered organizations for their participation in extra-curricular community affairs, always lending a helping hand to make the individual or nationally membered objectives a success. Both firms down through the years have been noted for their discovering, promoting, and projecting local and national talent in the field of golf and tennis; and down through the years have been consistent with the promotion of social and cultural affairs of the individual group or the nationally membered organizations. There is hardly anyone who does not know Herbert Wright, Webster Thompson, Wanda Washington, Eyre Saitch, Richard Ammons, Ed Roper, and Thomas Shropshire. This team of Philip Morris and Miller representatives can always be found lending a helping hand at national conventions or at community individual affairs, to make the efforts a success.

The pictures presented here show the team participating at the French Lick Invitational Gold Tournament; the Annual Convention of the Negro Business and Professional Women's Club, in which Mr. Wright and Mr. Thompson were photographed with Mrs. Margaret Belcher, National President; the Jaeckel Island Georgia Southeastern Golf Tournament; the Old Dominion Golf Tournament for the United Negro College Fund which took place in Newport News, Va.; and the Martha's Vineyard Invitational Tennis Tournament; and the National Urban League Convention.
