served at last year's Tournament Chairman, and Doctor Freddie Jones served in the capacity of Tournament Chairman. Prizes for participants were donated by Mrs. Cameron Haines of Ruppert Knickerbocker Beer and Dr. Hayling.

Another town event was the Annual Soul Food Dinner sponsored by Mel Patrick and Mrs. Cynthia Barrow on the July 4th weekend, with proceeds going to the Greater New York Committee to Aid African Students of the Phelps Stokes foundation. The affair was again held on the spacious lawn of Mrs. Barrow and African Students were helped.

Aiding African students and sponsoring local projects to raise funds for the welfare of the youngsters vacationing on the island is the labor of love of Mrs. Cynthia Barrow and Mel Patrick, two members of the Greater New York Committee to Aid African Students through the services of the Phelps Stokes foundation; and the work of Mrs. Lucille Lippman, Mrs. Maggie Alston and the Cottagers for support of facilities for enjoyment of Oak Bluffs' younger set.
