Humphrey visited East Harlem to open a play street and his son and daughter-in-law inspected the site of what is now the completed Richard Rodgers Theater and Recreation Center and Olympic-sized Mt. Morris Park swimming pool and field house. While here, Vice-President Humphrey presented a photograph award of a Nikon camera to an East Harlem student.
