EASTERN'S JET SET.
FOR THEM, BRINGING PEOPLE TOGETHER IS A WAY OF LIFE.
When someone says "jetset", they're usually talking about people who can afford to travel the world, getting together with other people in that world.

When we say "Jetset", we're talking about Black men and women in management positions at Eastern Airlines.

Each one a professional, whose first commitment is to what he does in the office from nine to five. But it doesn't stop there.

In many cases it's a commitment that goes back to community again, where they can use their talents and skills helping other people learn and understand from each other.

They're people like Captain Jim Plinton and Joe Forrest. Airmen from different generations. Only now in a position to help bring those generations together, each in his own way.

Jim, as an Eastern Vice-President and the only Black airline executive who is also a pilot, has brought his years of experience traveling around the world learning about other people to our Marketing Department.

There he is helping us serve the travel needs of thousands of Black people young and old. Helping them see new places and share new experiences.

And Joe Forrest, who spends his working day in the cockpit of an airplane as an Eastern pilot. And his spare time taking kids on tours of where he works. Or coaching them at basketball. In his own way it's Joe's investment in the future of Black youth.

Then there's Joan Bryan, who as our Manager of Special Marketing Affairs might spend her time in Chicago helping some businessmen get together in Jamaica.

Or taking the board members of a major Black organization from a meeting in Seattle to a weekend in Nassau, San Juan, or the Virgin Islands.

And when she's not getting people together for us, she's getting Black children together as a member of the board of a New York Day Care Center.

They're people like Fred White and Al Burnside. Both managers of critical areas at Eastern Airlines.

But with something else in common. They're both involved with other Black people, young and old sharing with them their expertise as professionals.

Eastern's Jetset. It's people getting together with other people. Sharing and learning and giving, person to person.

But they represent another kind of commitment too. Because there are more Black professionals at higher levels at Eastern than any other U.S. airline.

It's that kind of commitment, to people, that makes us the airline more people fly than any other airline in the free world, but one.
