GOVERNOR SHAPP'S AFFIRMATIVE ACTION COUNCIL LAUNCHES A POSITIVE IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM

Robert L. Albert — Appointed Executive Director

A positive recruitment program designed to bring more black men and women and other minorities into the main stream of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and to be executed to become the most progressive program of its kind in the nation, has been announced by Governor Shapp of the Common Wealth of Pennsylvania.

The program designed for the Governor's Affirmative Action Council is the brainchild of Mr. Robert L. Albert the recently appointed Executive Director of the Governor's Affirmative Action Council of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Albert Comes to his present position from spending several years in a similar capacity of recruitment at Tufts University; and brings a wealth of knowledge and know how to the position from his experiences as a former Compliance Personnel Officer with the Federal Government.

In referring to the new excitingly designed program, Mr. Albert said, "several states have given lip service to equal opportunity programs, but the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania through its Affirmative Action Council plan to do something about it."

Mr. Albert also said that interested persons anywhere in the state or country who wishes to realize their self worth should apply for any position they think they are qualified to serve in.

Anyone who applies for positions in his program, Mr. Albert said, can be assured that they will be given every consideration.

The Commonwealth of means business. This is why we are seeking assistance from anyone who might know someone who would like to take advantage of this opportunity to work in the State of Pennsylvania.

We are also proud of our aggressive administration and governor. We feel that, the Commonwealth is beginning to do great things.

If you or some of your friends want to become part of this dynamic new thrust which the Affirmative Action Council is now implementing, please contact us.

Those affiliated with the Council are very excited about our new program and with a little help from friends, we will overcome.
