This fund-raising effort will provide a sound foundation for the future growth and progress of Morehouse College—for the development of creative programs to meet students and societal needs, for the provision of scholarships to give financial assistance to needy and deserving students, for the payment of salaries to hold and attract able faculty and staff, for the acquisition of land to accommodate the physical expansion of the College, and for the construction of buildings to provide adequate facilities for efficient and creative instruction.

The Second-Century Development Campaign of Morehouse College is organized into two phases—Phase I, the Atlanta Drive, and Phase II, the National Drive—with the budgets shown below: ministrative programs while the drive is in progress. In effect, therefore, the campaign is an attempt to raise $20,000,000.
