[[advertisement]] Behind the scenes: Horace Edwards is a key figure in finance. [[image - color photograph of a man in a business suit talking to a man in the foreground.]] He is Manager of Financial and Operations Analysis for Atlantic Richfield Company. And Assistant Controller. Always in high gear, Horace Edwards is a very busy man. Developing budgets. Managing money. And providing detailed analysis of profit performance and capital investments for top-level management. Seven years ago, Horace came to the company as Manager of special projects in the controller's department. The following year, he was promoted to the post of Assistant Controller for marketing. Soon after, he was named Products Division Controller - the company's largest operating division; combining refining, marketing, supply and transportation, a position he held for over three years. His ability to consistently capture the essence of the company's economic health is indeed remarkable. Obviously, Horace Edwards and finance are a natural combination.
