Persons interested in taking both workshops and mini-courses may elect a workshop which does not meet on April 4 or meets only in the morning on April 4. They would then be free to elect a mini-course for that day.  Another alternative would be to elect an evening mini-course offered on April 3.

*Pre-Conference activities and registration on March 31 and April 1 will be at the Sheraton-Cadillac Hotel, Washington Boulevard and Michigan Avenue, Detroit, Michigan.

WOKSHOPS

1. THE BLACK DELINQUENT
Individually focused treatment is not sufficient in attempting to solve problems of the Black Delinquent.  The Focal concern has to be on "all out war on delinquency." The goal of the Black social worker is to involve the child, his family and the adult community in both social treatment and social change. Action implications for N.A.B.S.W.

A look at the single parents' strengths, needs, values and goals and the pervasive barriers to fulfillment of these needs and goals.  An examination of approaches to counseling.  Action implications for N.A.B.S.W.
