[[caption]] 1948 Beaux Arts Ball at the Savoy Ballroom had as its theme "Paris 2000 years old" and featured costumes of which we considered daring in that day. [[/caption]]

1975 Beaux Arts Ball saluted the "World of Sports" honoring Great Black Athletes. Robert Douglas of the Rennaisance [[Renaissance]] Basketball Fame and Fritz Pollard of Football Fame where [[were]] among those inducted into the Urban League Guilds Sports Hall of Fame. Picture on these pages were taken as athletes like Eyre Saitch who played for Bob Douglas & Herbert Douglas former Olympic Star & Joseph Yancy famed Olympic coach also inducted; Colonel Lee Archer of the Air Force; George Utendahl of Cutty Sark, Waymon Dunn of Consolidated Edison paid their respects to Mr. Pollard.
