The Metropolitan New York Chapter of the National Association of Media Women, Inc., the founding chapter, celebrated Founder's Day py presenting its first award for Outstanding Women in Media to Melba Tolliver, Associate Producer of WABC-TV's "Eyewitness News," Outstanding International Woman in Media Award to Eva Ban, Brazilian journalist and foreign correspondent and the Chapter Media Woman of the Year Award to Dorothy Brunson, General Manager of WLIB-WBLS radio stations.

The Metropolitan New York Chapter of the National Association of Media Women, Inc. cited outstanding women in the field of communications at its annual Founder's Day celebration held at the Carnegie Endowment Center, January 25, 1975.
