Dear Brothers & Sisters:

The National Association of Black Social Workers will host our Tenth Annual Conference in San Francisco, May 2-6, 1978. The Conference theme is "Silhouettes of Past Promises - Definitions of Future Faces." Our Conference Headquarters will be the San Francisco Hilton Hotel.

This Tenth Annual Conference will be a most significant occasion. We will come together to access our progress and to chart our continued development over the coming decades. We will engage in goal setting and strategy development to ensure our continued survival and enhancement as a people. Our concerns will encompass employment, housing, health, childcare and development in other vital areas.

We have come a long way since 1968 but we have so much further to go. Black people are still appreciated in America and in the World. Our coming together in San Francisco should enable us to reflect upon our legacy of oppression as well as to move us closer to our full liberation.

Sincerely,

Jay Chunn
