Dear Friend:

NAACP members across the nation form the bedrock of the [[text cut off -"bol-"?]]dest, most respected civil rights organization in American history. [[text cut off -"In"?]] and out of season, through dreary days and dark nights, in the heat of summer and the cold of winter, our committed members attend meetings, agonize over problems, endure criticism, and strive for greater equity.

Today we need more help to gain access to jobs, to quality education, increase voter registration, secure better housing and build significant economic power. To accomplish this, the NAACP needs more members and more money. As we increase our membership, more money will follow.

WE NEED... AND MUST HAVE... MORE:
Adult Members
Youth Members
Life Members
Golden Heritage Members.

A united effort can save our youth and ourselves. With your support added to our present strength, which is in our membership, we will be reinforced as we continue to lead the battle to make our great nation whole.

"Til Victory is Won..."

Sincerely,

Ben Hooks
