People, as well as special editorials in Black newspapers are coordinated by the Media Director.

The Legislative Aide/Casework Coordinator has two major assignments:  (1) coordination of the Caucus Subcommittee and Brain Trust System developed to secure greater input by Black experts into the legislative and administrative process and (2) supervision of interns who coordinate a casework referral system for insuring greater responsiveness by non-Black Members of Congress to their Black constituents.  A quarterly report of federal agency responses to Black and poor constituents is part of this process as is organization of regular meetings of caseworkers in Members' offices for greater coordination.

On an ongoing basis the staff is concerned with:
• Communication between Caucus members and their staff;
