she permanently performed her way into the hearts of Ebenezians, Atlantans, and Baptist conventioneers.

Of the one daughter and two sons born to the Reverend Doctor and Mrs. King, the daughter survives.  Now Mrs. Isaac Farris, Sr., she is an associate professor of education and Director of the Reading Program at Spelman College in Atlanta.  Strongly committed to nonviolent social change, Mrs. Farris is treasurer of The Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Social Change and the founding advisor of The King Center's Day Care Center and The King Center's Reading Academy.

Tonight's dinner honors a "giant of a man" whose moral leadership and strength inspired his son to direct the Civil Rights Movement and to extend human rights to millions of people.

Thus, it is fitting that The Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Social Change should choose as the honoree for its first dinner a man whose credo should be shared by all:  I Don't Hate Anybody.
