NEW CLAIROL BORN BEAUTIFUL IS FIRST HAIRCOLOR TO BABY BLACK HAIR

A new permanent haircolor designed to meet the specific needs of the contemporary Black woman is being introduced by Clairol. Called Clairol Born Beautiful, this unique haircoloring and conditioning system is the first product available especially formulated to give rich, radiant color and improve the condition of Black hair, all in one easy step.

Unlike other haircolors on the market, Born Beautiful was developed to provide today's Black consumer with the true-to-nature color she wants . . . without adding to the hair care problems she already has. Black hair can be weakened by popular styling techniques like chemical straightening, thermal pressing, and picking. These weakening techniques plus the unique curl pattern of Black hair can result in excessive breakage and dryness. No wonder Black women who have this particularly fragile type of hair need a haircolor with plenty of conditioning benefit — the kind of pampering, babying, conditioning only Born Beautiful can give them in a haircolor.

Because it has its own conditioning rinse built right in, Born Beautiful leaves hair shinier, more manageable, and healthier-looking than ever before, with color that makes dry, drab hair come vibrantly alive. In fact, after coloring with Born Beautiful's shampoo-in formula with its gentle pleasing fragrance, hair looks and feels so natural that even difficult-to-handle chemically relaxed hair becomes softer, silkier, more submissive, easy to comb, without snarls and tangles.

Born Beautiful comes in six "never more natural" shades ranging from black to ash blonde, all carefully chosen to complement Black hair color and skin tones. By using the handy shade selection guide on the package, a woman can match a shade to enhance and enrich her own haircolor . . . cover her gray . . . or get richly warm, natural color results with great color coverage by going darker . . . lighter . . . brighter . . . or deeper.

Quick and convenient, the Born Beautiful haircoloring and conditioning system produces beautiful color and superb condition in a mere twenty minutes. An easy one-step application handles it all — color, conditioning, and shampooing — with no other conditioners, creme rinses or shampoos necessary.

A boon for the Black woman who cares about her hair, Born Beautiful haircolor is now available at drug counters, discount drug departments, variety and food stores.
