General Motors' Otis M. Smith and Seagram's Philip E. Beekman to Chair 1979 National Dinner for Minority Enterprise

The 16th annual national ICBO dinner, to be held Tuesday evening, April 24, 1979 at the New York Hilton, will be chaired by Philip E. Beekman, President, Joseph E. Seagram & Sons, Inc., and Otis M. Smith, General Counsel, General Motors Corporation.

Announcement of the dinner Co-Chairmen was made by William E. Simon, National Co-chairman of the ICBO Board of Directors.

David J. Mahoney, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Norton Simon Inc., will be dinner speaker.

"We urge all who are interested in minority economic development to reserve the evening of April 24 on their calendars," said Malcolm L. Corrin, ICBO President/CEO. "Attendance at these dinners has always reflected a wide range of major corporate commitment to minority enterprise, and we look forward to seeing old and new friends on April 24. The participation of David Mahoney, Philip Beekman, and Otis Smith assures a compelling evening. We are grateful for their involvement and that of their corporations."

Invitations to the dinner will be mailed in early 1979. Dinner tables of 10 will be $1,000. Individual tickets are $100. Those who wish to make early reservations, or who want more information, are asked to phone the ICBO dinner coordinator at (212) 889-0880.
