The Queens Clinical Society of N.Y, Inc. named William M. Hewlett as "Physician of the Year"; gave its Community Service Awards to Joan Farrington, Morris Lee, Basil Paterson, Andrew Young and Patricia A. Rentrope.

This enabled the health providers to offer the best health services to an economic mix of patients without regard to their ability to pay.

As the patient rolls increased, the need for further expansion was recognized as urgent and another Carter Health Center was opened in the Springfield Gardens section of Queens in 1973.

In 1974, the Regional Medical Program presented a grant to the Queens Clinical Society, Inc. for the Hypertension Identification and Treatment Program which has screened over eight thousand persons in Queens for the past twelve months.

The most recent opening of a Senior Citizens Clinic in the low income South Jamaica Houses marks another effort to bring quality health services to the people of Queens.

The Queens Clinical Society, Inc. has been associated in its outreach activities since 1974 by the enthusiastic support of the community members of the Queens Clinical Advisory Council.

The Comprehensive Health Park is the most recent proposed community project of the Queens Clinical Society. The Health Park has been conceived in the NEED for increased Medical care and Recreational activities in southeast Queens. Queens Clinical Society feels that providing a broad Physical Fitness Program would enhance a dynamic innovative method to deliver Health Care, Education, Prevention and Maintenance IN DEED.

The motto which has been adopted by the Queens Clinical Society, Inc. is "Conceived in Need-Delivered in Deed."
