the first Black Commissioner of Corrections; Reverend Sterling Carey, President of the National Council of Churches, and Dr. Robert Sherard, distinguished religious and community leader. Our honorees for this occasion in the same manner typify the traditional Morehouse qualities of leadership and service that has made the Morehouse man legend in America and throughout the world.

MCBQLIAA has been one of the pillars of Region IV of the Morehouse National Alumni Association, which fact may be attested to by Regional Vice
Presidents from its founding: Jose Ananias, Judson Parker, and Murray Schmoke.
